Day 15:  Optional flight to  Abu Simbel $250. Delight in a visit to the magnificent temples at Abu Simbel built by Ramesses II to dominate ancient Nubia. The main temple is dedicated to Amon-Ra, Ra-Harakhte, Ptah, and the deified Ramesses himself. The facade is dominated by four giant colossi of Ramesses II, which, at 20 meters, are taller than the Colossi of Memnon at Luxor. The smaller temple is dedicated to Nefertari, his favorite wife in the guise of the goddess Hathor.  Those not opting the flight to Abu Simbel will enjoy a Free Day in Aswan and may visit the beautiful Nubia Museum.  Later, a flight takes us back to Cairo with the remainder of the day at leisure to revisit some favorite spot: the Cairo Museum, the Khan al-Khalili, or just relax at our hotel, and later enjoy our Farewell Dinner with our new friends . Day 16: Our flight departs at 9:30 a.m. for the USA, arriving early the same day. We leave this enchanted land with unforgettable memories, a dream realized, and perhaps the determination to return one day.
